How We Breathe Through Written Lungs is a roleplaying game for 2-5 players about characters redefining themselves in a new world where they do not fit the narrative.

An organization called the Central Creative Resolution Agency (CCRA) has developed technology to bring characters from stories into their world, Terra Firma. These characters seem to have some degree of control over how events occur. The CCRA hopes to use them to alter reality and control the course of the future.

Can these characters break free from the CCRA? Will they retell their old stories or become something new?

This is a GM-less game where the players collaborate to define and play the world in addition to each playing a primary character. The currently available primary characters are:

  • Medusa
  • Sir Galahad
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Frankenstein's Monster
  • Dr. John Watson

This game is unfinished, unpolished, unplaytested, and mostly for my own enjoyment. I'll keep working on it, but I'm just happy it exists, even if it never becomes 'good'.

Thanks to the Dice Exploder Discord for having the jam that helped me conceptualize and complete this game, and for providing input. I'd be happy if Sam wants to discuss it on the podcast.
